About Whistleblowers Forum Malawi
Whistleblowers Forum Malawi is an organization incorporated in July 2025 dedicated to empowering individuals to safely report corruption, misconduct, abuse of power, and injustice in both public and private institutions.
We exist to protect courage, promote transparency, and strengthen democratic governance in Malawi.
Who We Are
We are a platform committed to safeguarding individuals who expose wrongdoing. We believe that integrity is the foundation of a just society, and those who speak the truth should be protected — not punished.
Whistleblowers Forum Malawi works to ensure that reporting corruption and misconduct can be done safely, confidentially, and responsibly.
Our Mission
To empower individuals to safely report wrongdoing and corruption, promote transparency and accountability in public and private institutions, safeguard whistleblowers from retaliation, and strengthen democratic governance and ethical conduct for the benefit of all Malawians.
We also serve society by bringing hidden injustices to light, strengthening democratic values, and fostering a culture of openness and accountability.
Our Vision
A Malawi where every individual can safely and confidently report corruption, misconduct, and injustice — protected by strong laws, supported by transparent institutions, and empowered to uphold integrity, accountability, and the rule of law.
We envision a nation where courage is protected, voices are heard, and those who expose wrongdoing are safeguarded and respected.
Our Core Values
Why We Exist
Corruption, misconduct, and abuse of power undermine development, democracy, and public trust. Many individuals fear reporting wrongdoing because of retaliation, intimidation, or social pressure.
Whistleblowers Forum Malawi exists to provide a safe and structured support system so that truth can be spoken without fear.
Our Commitment
- Protecting whistleblowers from retaliation
- Promoting lawful and responsible reporting
- Supporting ethical governance
- Strengthening democratic values in Malawi
- Working collaboratively with institutions and stakeholders
Our Approach
We combine legal support, psychological assistance, protection planning, civic education, and advocacy to ensure that whistleblowers are not left alone.
We believe that when courage is protected, society benefits.
